Speaking of donating breastmilk this week... Baton Rouge, Lafayette and surrounding area mamas: After posting the article this week on breastmilk donation, I was contacted by a client/friend of mine in Baton Rouge who is in need of donated breastmilk for her 7-week old babe. True supply issues are prohibiting this mama from nursing full-time the way she had desired to. She is being forced to supplement her baby in addition to nursing at the breast for his health. Her desires are to provide her baby only breastmilk for as long as possible, but her stash is running low and without your help, formula supplementing will begin as early as next week. We want to help her out! If you would be interested in donating your stored breastmilk, please contact me at kira.smith@elemenopeeonline.com. We ask that all donors be medication-free (prescription or non-prescription), smoke-free and alcohol-free for the recipient baby's safety. Now, I realize most of you will donate your breastmilk out of the goodness of your hearts, but I really want to pump up everyone who can donate, to donate. In order to avoid formula supplementing, this mom is going to need lots of milk as her baby is only 7 weeks old. So for every 100 ounces of breastmilk that is donated before Wednesday July 21st, I will give away something special to one random donor. eLeMeNO-Pee will also give one very special prize to the donor who donates the most milk to this great cause. This person will be announced August 1st. Again, please contact me at kira.smith@elemenopeeonline.com to receive the short donation application. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask me. Thank you in advance for your kind hearts. Please pass this on to whoever you think may be interested or able to help. We will always be accepting donations, so if you are still pregnant but wish to donate at a later date, please contact me. |

My baby is not due for another 3 weeks or so, but once I get a nursing routine established f, I would be more than happy to donate milk for this mom if the need still exists. Feel free to contact me mid- to late august if you are still looking for "suppliers".

I have a stand alone freezer full of milk. So I can donate some. From November to March she can pick her month.
