Any intactivists (anti-circumcision) peeps out there? The WHOLE network needs someone from LA to start a FB page for the state promoting not cutting babies: http://www.facebook.c.... Just scroll down the left hand side of the page and click the link "Create a page for my business" (you need to be signed into your FB account). It's pretty easy, point and click type stuff. Hope someone can help out.

We are anti-circ! I just saw you are from Natchez, we live in Centreville! Nice to "meet" you!

We are now anti-circ. We were ill informed the first time around, but was fortunate enough to educate ourselves for our second son.

We are! Our little son is happy and whole, and just made a year:)

We have one each, prefer the non if we have a 3rd boy.

Both our boys aren't circ'd :)

I don't have the energy to head up anything right now...but I am more than willing to help :)

I spread the message on my facebook page. I hope that has at least planted a few seeds...that's all I can do now.

I may consider doing something like this or at least helping, but it will have to be in a few months. I do post a lot on my own FB page. I have lots of personal stories to share too, personally knowing 2 little boys that had to have the circumcision done again because of mistakes and also my second son had several UTIs and the doctor threw a fit because I wouldn't circ. My son had a defect in his urinary tract which "may or may not be the problem" and he thought if we did circ we could at least rule that out as the issue. The doc even lied to me about a UTI that my son didn't really have. Luckily we got a different doc that looked at the results the next time and said Oh, I see here he had a normal bacteria count last time...that's good news.

Anyway, these things make me passionate about it and I would love to at least help out. I'm swamped trying to start up a new business and be mama to a 2&3 year old. Regardless, I'm hoping things slow down this fall and I should have some time to devote to this cause.

Y'all, my 2 yo just closed a DVD case on his intact penis. You know, pinched the skin. I have NEVER, EVER, EVER seen one of my boys spontaneously fly into the air without the use of their legs. It happened. He levitated the pain was so bad :( His penis now has a red mark (sort of circle shaped) on top of it :( I hope he didn't hurt himself. He cried for a little while but now seems to be in good spirits.

Can't IMAGINE what a newborn feels.
