Looks like Woman's is putting out a new marketing campaign soon and a good friend of mine was asked to do a "spot" on her natural birth there. I too had a natural birth there (because I was new in town and didn't know my options). Won't be doing the same for the new arrival in January but overall had a good experience. Considering.
My friend in the video feels very strongly about natural birth and I'm glad for her that she got to promote it in any capacity. Especially on a local level. Just thought I would share it with you. http://www.youtube.co... |

Saw the billboard today.
They must have been doing some research in the community.... heard a lot of buzz words in that ad. Notice they didn't show the %of labours at that hospital which are augmented with pitocin...... Just happy pink people. Said something about this"moment" and I thought, good one, sell it like THAT! ![]() |

Looks like our peeps ARE making a difference! Even if it is only starting with an ad. At least it promotes natural birth, and other moms may demand this now....such a cute couple.

I am happy to see this; woman's promoting natural birth. Maybe they realize that natural birth is beneficial for all involved and want to start acccomadating mothers geared toward a natural birth. That is great news and I for one would love to see them go that direction.
I also had a natural birth at Woman's and I did have a good experience (with the staff and hospital anyway, my dr not so much). I chose homebirth with my next birth and would chose homebirth with any more births, but because I realized that even a good experience in a hospital doesn't compare with being at home. Some women need, or want, a hospital birth and I am all for them getting to have the best birth possible in that setting. So GO WOMAN's!! (as a pessimistic side note...hope it's not just a marketing scam and that they do actually accomadate natural birth by allowing eating and drinking, tub birth, movement, and such) |

Ugh, I wish they'd have had this idea a while ago! Horrible time at Woman's here! But probably because I wasn't prepared. I am switching it The General. But GO WOMAN'S! And I hope it's not a marketing scam too!

This is exciting news. I look forward to hearing about good Woman's hospital birth experiences in the future.
