Title: Hammond / Northshore Meetup Host
My son was born (unmedicated hospital birth) at the end of '08. I was blessed to have a family that was very open to natural and homebirth, as well as extended breastfeeding. I love knowing and being around women, activists, mothers, and good people.
It is one of my missions in life to preserve the dignity of childbirth. There are many ways that women may choose to give birth and we're not all looking for the same experiences, but all women should be empowered by childbirth instead of afraid.

"I live on 20 acres with my husband and son and we are trying to start up a self-sufficient homestead. I've got little experience with what I'm trying to do, but it's a lot of fun. "

"After reading the other post-- the one responsible for this coming up (I believe)-- it seems to me those issues really NEED to be discussed and they need to be discussed openly...."
"Thank you so much, everyone! Still no signs of him using his finger so it looks like this really will be the next step. I appreciate the help :)"
"Andrea brings up a very important point. There is A LOT to sift through. Though I am interested in almost all of it, it would be easier if I could easily access what I'm MOST interested in."
"Thank you for the recommendation, Andrea. I will get in touch with Colleen."
"I think the mission of the group is explained clearly. It has created a network of very passionate individuals and it seems to work really well. There is absolutely nothing wrong with focusing exclusively on natural birth...."
"Hi ladies, I am posting here because I generally feel that this group is the most like me when it comes to how I raise Callum and my views on the medical community. I am looking for a surgeon who works on pediatric muscle/tendon injuries...."
