Introduction

Hi, I am Katja (almost 30) and I have to sons - Edwin (5) and Henrik (3). I am currently pregnant with our baby girl (due Aug 2010). Edwin was born naturally in Berlin, Henrik as a preemie (30+4) in Munich. Hope for a natural birth this time, too.

What is your interest in natural birth? (Are you interested in having a natural birth, meeting other people who have had a natural birth, working with natural birthers?) Are you looking for hospital-alternative resources?

I am seeing a great OB at Women's Hospital and also a fetal-maternal doc there. I plan to give birth there, but have heard pretty bad stories about giving birth there. I hope to get some support from here, maybe alternatives ...

Are you expecting now? Have you already had a natural birth experience that you wish to share? Are you a birth professional looking to network?

I am expecting our 3rd child in August 2010. I had a natural birth in 2004 in Berlin in a birth place with only tywo midwifes which was great. Henrik was preemie, I had a PDA - and I am pretty scared what will happen this time.

Katja Would love to come. But with both boys at home AND being naptime, I am not sure I can make it. I have Hannah's address though. If hubby stays home with the boys, I'll come with Greta.

"I have had them with Greta and Henrik from week 16 ... With Edwin from week 18 ... In Germany they recommend to take Magnesium if you have too many contractions. Not more than 900 mg per day though...."

"Thank you :). Well, Dr Dickerson did not make it back in time :-P. He was out of town on the third, but came in - I don't know if he had planned to come back anyway, but before that he had told me he would come in even if he is not on call...."
