Introduction
I had a natural birth at Gentle Choices in Sept 2006. My daughter, Gabby is 3years old. Also had a homebirth with Anne Lastrapes in Dec 2008. I am a nurse and used to work in the ER at UMC and also taught childbirth classes in Lafayette and BR.
What is your interest in natural birth? (Are you interested in having a natural birth, meeting other people who have had a natural birth, working with natural birthers?) Are you looking for hospital-alternative resources?
I want to support other woman interested in natural birth and working with others to make changes in our state.

"Nicki, Well said. I agree with all of it. The points you make are one of the reasons I am not currently teaching. Its hard to watch new mothers end up with unsatisfactory births and still toe the line of professional."

"If you are breastfeeding and tracking your temp it might be up one day and down the next. Its hard to tell. But when you ovulate your temp should rise about 1 degree and remain elevated until your period starts...."
