To celebrate World Breastfeeding Month here in NOLA we will get together at my house, to share our breastfeeding stories, challenges, questions, and hopes while we make nursing necklaces.
Nursing Necklaces, or Mommy Necklaces, are breastfeeding friendly necklaces that help distractable babies and keep baby's fingers occupied, keeping them from scratching and pulling on your skin and hair. Participants can make there own necklace and a couple to take home to share with other expecting moms.
I have ordered lots of beads and pendants, magnetic clasp, and hemp to thread the necklaces. You are welcome to bring your own beads if you have some, and you are encouraged (but not required) to make a donation to replenish the LNB funds that were used in purchasing the materials for these necklaces.
Please check back in case the time does change. You are welcome to stop by anytime, don't' worry about being late or needing to leave early. Children are welcome. You can bring some light snacks and drinks for you and your little ones. I will email directions to those that RSVP on the day before the event.
I look forward to seeing you and celebrating World Breastfeeding Week.
Thanks,
Amanda
