I have a few pairs of scissors I can bring. And I was going to bring some food, if you want to contribute and bring some finger foods you can but nobody needs to feel obligated to do so. I haven't decided exactly what foods I will bring....thinking sandwhiches, veggies, fruits, stuff like that.

If you would like to bring scissors we might be a bit short on them. The way it looks now we will have several stations set up...Collage, fingerpaint, model magic clay (instant sculpture material that air dries), and regular paints. We'll make art then journal about the process and talk about why art can help you prepare for giving birth with power. The kids will have sidewalk crayons and finger paints along with anything you want to bring for their art area.

How cool! What a fabulous idea! I am new to this group as I am moving to the area in about a week. I hope you do awesome meet ups like this often. We will just have moved from Florida to Lafayette a couple of days before, so I won't be able to make this one, but I will definitely come to the next one. I can't wait to meet great women and take part in such wonderful events!

We will also be doing a sing along for the kids, if there is time! Robin Toler, who co-facilitated the birth art workshop we did in February is going to come and support too. She is an awesome art teacher. This will be very low key, all for you, think preschool art.
